Capital Dental Equipment Announces John Wageman as National 3D Printing Sales Representative

Cedar Park, TX, April 2022 – Capital Dental Equipment (CDE) is expanding its reach by welcoming a new team member to the sales department. John Wageman, who started in early April, will serve as the company’s 3D Printing Specialist while also representing all CDE lines.

After adding more than 20 new vendors and product lines to expand the full-service dental equipment business model, the company saw a need for more sales representatives. In the first quarter, Capital Dental Equipment has added three new sales representatives to the team to increase reach and better foster relationships with customers across the domestic United States.

Wageman’s career in the dental industry started during his time in the United States Army, where he completed the Dental Assisting and Laboratory Program. Following this, he became a lab technician before transitioning to dental equipment, laboratory, and technology sales. Wageman brings over 25 years of experience as a dental sales professional while specializing in 3D printing for the last five years.  

The addition of a 3D Printer Specialist to the CDE national sales team will increase the company’s dialog in this sector of dental technology and promote the company’s ideals as a full-service equipment provider.  

“We’re excited about his expertise in 3D printing, his lab experience, and his certifications,” stated Ron Sharpe, Capital Dental Equipment’s president. “He has a long history of working in labs, both in the military and private sector, he has owned his own lab, and he has been involved with 3D printers for well over a decade.”

Capital Dental Equipment is looking forward to starting a series of webinars in the near future, with Wageman as the host. With his certifications, it’s possible for dental professional attending to receive continued education credits that they are required to obtain. While this is new territory for CDE, Wageman is prepared to use his expertise to take the company to the next level in teaching dental professionals the capabilities of 3D printing.

“I like a challenge, having the opportunity to run through that brick wall, break the barrier, and do stuff differently,” stated Wageman.

Capital Dental Equipment is enthusiastic about the growth opportunities that having a specialist in 3D printing will bring. The team also looks forward to attending the American Association of Orthodontists Annual Session in May.
